Our story
From a single Lazimpat classroom to a full K-12 campus
- 1996
UCPS opens its doors in Lazimpat with a simple aim — academic strength paired with character.
- 2000s
The school relocates and grows into Baluwatar, adding Montessori-based primary and secondary sections.
- Today
UCPS offers Plus Two in Science, Management and Law, with graduates now working across medicine, engineering, academia and business.
We believe true development — of a person, a family, a society — happens through education. That belief shapes every classroom decision we make, from how we teach a first grader to read, to how we prepare a Plus Two student for a competitive entrance exam.

What we offer
Three stages, one continuous path
Each level builds on the one before it — the same way a pagoda's tiers rise from a wide, steady base toward a single point.
Primary
A Montessori-based, play-forward curriculum for our youngest learners, focused on curiosity, motor skills, language and number sense — the foundation everything else is built on.
Secondary
A full academic core alongside science and computer labs, counselling support and extracurriculars, preparing students for board exams and for the independence Plus Two demands.
Plus Two
Three streams to match where students are headed next — Science, Management (Business, Computer Science, Hotel Management) and Law — taught by faculty who know those entrance exams well.
